This was purchased as a gift and have absolutely no regrets.We haven't experienced any of the dust/oil issues on the mirror as some have reported with the D600 and the photos are quite exquisite.The glass that comes with the kit is quite good and probably only falls short if you are comparing it to the $1,000+ lenses out there that are more "professional" grade.For the enthusiastic amateur I can't think of a better do-it-all dslr. It is a great combination of price, quality, and features.
